FiXT is proud to announce the signing of Italian trap-metal artist Becko.
Rising from the ashes of post-hardcore band Hopes Die Last, Italian multi-genre producer, musician, and vocalist Marco Calanca created Becko as a solo project, uniting influences of EDM, Hip-Hop, Industrial and Emo-Rock. With previous releases under his belt with labels ranging from Warner Italy and Universal Italy, to Monstercat, Lowly Palace, and Smash the House since 2014, Becko found a new home in early 2020, signing a multi-album deal with the independent, artist-owned/operated USA-based electronic-rock label FiXT, founded by genre-pioneering artist & producer Klayton (Celldweller, Circle of Dust). The Rome based Becko is now preparing to release a steady stream of singles throughout 2020 leading up to a full-length album later in the year.
Kicking off the signing, Becko enters the world of trap-metal with his 5-song EP, Genesis, blending elements of hip-hop, metal, EDM, and alternative rock. Building a violent momentum of melodic screaming and rap vocals, dark gritty guitars, and heavy trap beats, Becko sweeps the listener skillfully through a dark crucible in “Genesis” and “1YearSunFree” before a convincing conclusion with the unforgettably catchy track “Dead End. The EP is rounded out by 2 cover songs as Becko delivers an EDM-Rock hybrid version of Bring Me The Horizon’s “Mantra” and a bass-heavy Alt-Rock inspired cover of Linkin Park’s “Crawling”.

Discussing the signing, label-owner Klayton had this to say:
“I’ve been excited by the surge of interest in trap-metal but to me the greatest missing element was ‘metal’. I was in the process of assembling a project combining blown-out trap beats, heavy guitar riffs, screaming, melody and cool electronics, because I fully believe this is the sound of the future. Then from out of the blue (Italy, actually) comes an email from Becko submitting his music to the FiXT label. I quickly sidelined the project I was assembling, because what he was already doing on his own, was exactly what I was hearing in my head. I couldn’t be more excited to have him as part of the FiXT family, and we’re primed and ready to get his music into ears around the world.”
– Klayton
“I have been in love with FiXT for a long time, but was not ready to approach them as I didn’t have tracks that fit their multi-genre electronic-rock sound. After creating Genesis, the first thing I did was message Klayton (Celldweller) for his feedback, and just a couple months later I’m signed to FiXT. So amazed to share my path with them and the super cool and talented artists they have in their roster!” – Becko
To support the signing of Becko, FiXT has also re-released 30 of Becko’s previously independent back catalog tracks. Updated with fresh artwork, the re-releases include his 2017 cover-song album CVRS, along with combining and remastering the audio to his previous EPs Reborn (2017) and Digital Heaven (2018) and the single “Void” (2018) into a new album titled A.T. Field.
CVRS is a tour-de-force, eclectic compilation of cover songs from genre-defying artist Becko. When he’s not challenging genre rules with his original music, Becko showcases his wide range of talents with other people’s songs.

Becko’s A.T. Field is a dynamic powerhouse of songs he originally released from 2017 and 2018, showcasing his range of alternative electronic pop, with early signs of his harder trap-metal edge that he would later form on Genesis.
